GETTING BEYOND GOOD INTENTIONS

Mark 9:23 – Everything is possible for one who believes.

Hebrews 1:1-2 – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.  By faith the people of old were approved. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed by the word of God, so that what is seen did not come from things that are seen.

Hebrews 11:7-8 – By faith Noah, warned about things not yet seen, in reverent fear built an ark to save his family. By that faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go to a place that he would later receive as an inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:17-18 – By faith Abraham, who had received the promises, was tested and offered up Isaac, his only son,  even though God had said to him, "Your descendants will be established through Isaac." 

1.  God wants to take the ORDINARY and do something EXTRAORDINARY.

Hebrews 11:7 – By faith Noah, warned about things not yet seen, in reverent fear built an ark to save his family.



2. Faith tells me that no matter what lies ahead, God is already there.

Vs 8 – By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going..

FAITH + OBEDIENCE = A MOVE OF GOD

3. There is POWER in believing in God.

Vs. 17-18 – By faith Abraham, who had received the promises, was tested and offered up Isaac, his only son,  even though God had said to him, "Your descendants will be established through Isaac."

Bravery is not the absence of fear, but what God has called you to do, even when you are afraid.

Faith makes miracles but fear buries callings.

Don’t let fear hold you back from God’s best.
