SACRED STORIES

“God’s Wisdom For Relational Challenges”
Pastor Dan Levy – July 2, 2023

  1. Continually bring your relational CHALLENGES to Jesus. When you do this, you are inviting God’s POWER to go to work.

When the Israelites complained about bitter water: “Moses cried out to the Lord…” (Exodus 15:23-25)

When the Israelites quarreled with Moses again over water: “Moses cried out to the Lord…” (Exodus 17:2-4)

When the Israelites made and worshipped the golden calf, “Moses implored the Lord his God…” (Exodus 32:11-14)

When the Israelites were complaining about their misfortunes, Moses “prayed to the Lord…” (Numbers 11:1-3)

When the Israelites continued “wailing at the entrance of their tents” Moses inquired of the Lord. (Numbers 11:10-11)

When Moses’ own brother and sister challenge his leadership and his sister became sick, it says “Moses cried to the Lord…” (Numbers 12:1-14)

  2. When facing a challenge or conflict in a relationship, remember there is a REAL ENEMY who wants to destroy your relationships.

    Ephesians 6:12
    — For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

John 10:10 — The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

  3. When people LET YOU DOWN, never stop trusting the goodness of God.

    Exodus 33:18-19
    — Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence.
