“Upgrading Your Love”

Isaiah 55:8-9 — “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

How to upgrade your love:

1. Begin by being on the RECEIVING end of all the love God has for you.
   
   1 John 4:10 — This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
   
   Romans 5:5 — God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
   

2. BELIEVE that God can produce more of His kind of love in you.
   
   Galatians 5:22 — “The fruit of the Spirit is love…”
   
   Ephesians 3:17-19 — I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge —that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
   

3. LEARN that God’s love is not a feeling, it’s a CHOICE and an ACTION.
   
   John 13:34 — (Jesus said) “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
   
   Ephesians 5:2 — “Keep company with God and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn't love in order to get something from us but to give everything of Himself to us. Love like that.
