“I Am a Spirit-Empowered Ambassador of Heaven”

JUDGES 6:1-6 – The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites. Because the power of Midian was so oppressive, the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts, caves and strongholds. Whenever the Israelites planted their crops, the Midianites, Amalekites and other eastern peoples invaded the country. They camped on the land and ruined the crops all the way to Gaza and did not spare a living thing for Israel, neither sheep nor cattle nor donkeys. They came up with their livestock and their tents like swarms of locusts. It was impossible to count them or their camels; they invaded the land to ravage it. Midian so impoverished the Israelites that they cried out to the Lord for help.

JUDGES 6:11-15 – The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”

The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

Things to Remember:

If you don’t accept his identity, you can’t manifest his reality!

Therefore our identity crises comes about not because we don’t know who we are…but because we don’t know who we are like.

Heaven’s identification often happens in the holes.

3 KEYS TO YOUR IDENTITY:

KNOWING YOUR GOD-GIVEN IDENTITY GIVES YOU CONFIDENCE AND AWARENESS.

Knowing who you are and Whose you are changes everything.

KNOWING YOUR GOD-GIVEN IDENTITY GIVES YOU VALIDATION AND INCREASES YOUR FAITH.

When you know that God validates you, you’re no longer worried about your performance. You know that you’re already equipped to do what God is calling you to do.

KNOWING YOUR GOD-GIVEN IDENTITY PUTS YOU IN A BETTER POSITION TO UNDERSTAND YOUR PURPOSE… THE DOORWAY TO
YOUR DESTINY.

Matthew 16:13-20 – When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
