CRUSHING IT

“More Than a Conqueror”
Pastor Doug Heisel – February 4, 2024

Romans 12:2-3 – Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

#1 —  I am a NEW CREATION.

I live in the victory, freedom and blessing of God’s will

and ways.

#2 — I am a SPIRIT-EMPOWERED AMBASSADOR OF HEAVEN.
I love, add value, and influence others, because of the abundant overflow God has given me.

#3 — I am a CHILD OF GOD.

I live emotionally peaceful, grateful and secure, because

I see myself the way God sees me.

#4 — I am more than a CONQUEROR.

…David had served the purpose of God

in his own generation… Acts 13:36

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  … Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.  Psalm 23:4, 6

Your purpose may be spotlighted in a “PALACE

but it is often forged in a “VALLEY.”

Being more than a conqueror

requires having something to CONQUER.

One of the first things to conquer,

is your own internal DIALOGUE when walking

through a difficult time.

What “More then Conquerors” say, when facing new challenges:

  1. I am not ALONE. The Lord is WITH me.

I will fear no evil, for you are with me
… your goodness and mercy will follow me all the day of my life…

Hebrews 12:2 – Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at right hand of the throne of God.

  2. HAVE  all the time, power, and resources, available to me, to do everything God wants me to do, as I daily SURRENDER to His will and purpose.

…your rod and staff comfort me …
…your goodness and mercy follow me…

    Ephesians 1:20
    – How tremendous is the power available to us, who believe in God.  That power is the same divine energy which was demonstrated in Christ when He was raised from the dead.

  3. I will not GIVE UP.  There are GOOD things ahead.

… I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
… I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

    Galatians 6:9
    – So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
