“Why I Choose Generosity”

3 Reasons I Choose Generosity:

1. It’s EASIER.

Proverbs 3:9-10 — “Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 — For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Matthew 11:29-30 — “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

2. It’s more FUN!

Acts 20:35 — “…. Jesus said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

I Chronicles 29:1-18 — David, the people of Israel, and the ridiculous generosity they all engaged in together for the building of the temple.

3. It’s REWARDING.

Ezekiel 47:1-12 — The church and its role in being a conduit of God’s river of life flowing into the world.

Matthew 5:14-15 — “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.”

A generosity challenge: STEP IN or STEP UP.
